I’m convinced that little people have healing power. Every giggle is life-giving medicine. This one came by to check on her patient today, and while she’s still confused how I grew an egg in my neck, I can’t give her much of an explanation because I don’t know either. 😂 Feeling much better today. Still tired and sore, but all this is to be expected. Breathing continues to improve and I’m on the road to recovery!

Happy Birthday to my most precious and amazing bonus-sis. I’m praising 8lb. 12oz. tiny baby Jesus for her today (And everyday, because she’s alllll the things worthy of raising those hands and giving a “whoop-whoop”!

In other news, I’m sore, the right side of my throat is puffed up like a baby blowfish and I’m sleeping a lot. Given that sleep is a beloved hobby, I have no complaints. My breathing is much better (praise!) and I’ve eaten a significant amount of Millsy’s 5-year old Capt. America Bday ice cream cake over the last 3 days. Should you be in the market for a cake, I‘m not sure where Capt. America bakes, but he’s got skills, so try to find him. Mama and I have been watching “Escape to the Chateau”, which is equal parts fascinating, ridiculous and amazing. Dick is brilliant and I love how jolly he is and the way he dances a little jig when he gets really excited. The joy he finds in smoking cheese, feeding pigs and engineering things around the chateau is something from which we can all learn. Angel is all the right amounts of extra with her Bozo the clown colored hair, kimono’s, beret’s, decoupage and obsession with taxidermy. Also, did y’all know there‘s a market for ”faux fur” taxidermy? I really didn’t see that one coming. Anyway, Mama and I are here for ALL of it. I love spending time with my Mama. Her laugh is magic - she is magic in all the ways.

This season of life is unexpected to say the least, but there are blessings on blessings at every turn.

No update on pathology... praying and waiting, waiting and praying. I’m getting my hair done tomorrow because cancer or no cancer, ain’t nobody got time for roots.

I still owe y’all a few backstory posts. I’m working on them, but for now, Dick’s turning an old oil drum into a pig roaster - gotta scoot.

In January, I proclaimed 2021 as “my year” for love, luck and alllll the things. These last few weeks have been filled with reminder on top of reminder of God’s sweetness and I continue to be in awe of what an intentional God we have. He is the God of details and minutia. It’s just February y’all. We‘re not even a full two months into 2021... and the love that‘s already been bestowed upon me this year is more than I could hope to experience in a lifetime. My prayer today is that you all feel as loved and blessed and treasured as I do. That you know, unequivocally, that God has made you as you are with purpose and intention. You are His. And His love is poured out for you. Take it in. Let it consume you. Be overwhelmed by it. If you don’t quite know what to do with it, how to process it, just ask Him to show you. He is the way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, the light in the darkness. Go listen to that song - WayMaker - it’s a good one.

I’m lying back down. I’m tired and my throat is sore. But it is good. xoxox
