I'm a big fan of setting expectations. It's just smart, and it seemed like the appropriate way to kick off the new website (and blog). So here goes... if you are a person who likes to daily blog posts, I apologize in advance for my inconsistency. I love to talk and I love to write, but I love to create art more. Which means, you'll see the occasional blog post of substance when I want to elaborate on my art, I get the "writing itch" or just when I have something significant to say. Over the last several years, I've continued to pull back from writing and journaling - even prayer journaling. It used to be something I did all the time, sometimes multiple times a day, but I seem to need the writing component less in this season of life. These days, I prefer to pray, process and try to make sense of life and the world around me through my art and through community with my peeps. I mean, let's be honest, this website is for and about my art.. if I'm killing it with my blog on a daily basis, then I'm probably not creating enough to justify a website. So, consider the "blog expectations" set.
